The Only Thing Blooming

It looks like the gorgeous weather is here to stay. It’s an odd sort of juxtaposition. There’s still snow on the ground. Those are about the only flowers you’ll see at the moment. But people are walking around in shorts, playing frisbee in the gutted lake on top of melting ice. And that means…

It’s warm enough for ice cream! The decision was between Le Patio and Le Péché Glacé, both on avenue Mont-Royal. I figured there would be a line at Le Patio so we headed in the other direction. I always convince myself that I’ll try a sorbet. Confronted with the little tags in swirly font, which read: Amaretto, Tiramisu, Creme Caramel… Somehow I doubt I’ll make it to the sorbet section within my last month here.
